LOVEIN Sicily, luxury proposals and elopements
The couple small against a wide valley of olive groves, standing on stone

Agrigento · 06:40

You might be the only one who knows yet.

Proposals, elopements and vows renewed. Sicily only, and nowhere else.

The hour we would put you in

Not a wedding planner

A planner books a venue. We compose an hour.

Most of what goes wrong is timing. The Valley of the Temples at eleven in the morning is a queue. Early, it is empty and gold. Scala dei Turchi goes white at one point in the afternoon and flat forty minutes later. Punta Bianca costs you a walk and pays you back for it. So we do not hand you a place and a time slot. We tell you which hour, which path you arrive on, where to stand, and what we do if the wind comes off the sea. That only works if you know one island properly instead of six countries loosely.

Before you trust us

You are considering hiring people you have never met, on an island you may not have seen.

Hesitating over that is reasonable, so the evidence goes first. Two named Sicilians you can look at and speak to. One wedding documented from start to finish, including a filmed conversation with the couple. Prices you can read without writing to anyone.

One wedding, shown in full

Claire and Rob came from the UK and married on 31 July, at Moresca Farm and then the Valley of the Temples. Olive groves. Hay bales pulled into rows for seating. Long tables set under the trees. Vows timed to the last hour of light. The full gallery is on this site, and so is the film they recorded afterwards.

Two names, not a switchboard

Salvo is behind the camera. Cristiana is in front of you, reading words she wrote for you. Nobody hands you to a coordinator once the deposit clears. The two people who answer your first message are the two people standing there on the day.

Nothing staged, nothing rehearsed

For a surprise proposal we arrive as strangers. Salvo works at a distance, on a stretch of coast or a path where a photographer is an ordinary thing to see. Your partner sees the water, and you. They do not see us until you want them to.

How it works

Three steps. The first one costs nothing.

Almost everything that makes a day work happens before anyone lands in Sicily. Here is the whole sequence, so you know what you are agreeing to and when.

01

Check availability

A short questionnaire. Your dates, the two of you, what you have already pictured and what you would rather avoid. About ten minutes. No payment, no calendar hold, no call to schedule first.

02

We design the hour

A call, then a plan in writing. The location, the hour, the route your partner takes to get there, what Cristiana will say and in which language, who stands where, and the paperwork you need if the ceremony is a legal one. You approve every element before anything is booked.

03

The day itself

We are in position an hour ahead of you. Cristiana leads the ceremony in English. Salvo stays out of the frame until it has already happened, and nobody will position you or ask you to do it again. Edited photographs follow, and the film if your package includes one.

Claire and Rob, 31 July

They wanted the olive trees and one long table.

They flew in from the UK. The ceremony was held at Moresca Farm, under the olives, with hay bales dragged into rows because that is what the farm already had. Then the Valley of the Temples once the heat dropped, columns that have been holding that light for two and a half thousand years, and the two of them in front of it. Nothing was arranged for the photographs, which is the only reason the photographs are worth anything.

In their words, not ours

We could tell you how the day went. It is better coming from the people it happened to, filmed in Sicily, unscripted, a few minutes after it was over.

A couple who married with LOVEIN in Sicily.

Who you will actually meet

Two people. Both Sicilian. Both there on the day.

Salvo La Rocca

Founder and photographer

Salvo built LOVEIN Sicily and shoots every commission himself. He knows the walk down to Punta Bianca, the hour Torre Capo Rama is worth standing on, and he has a second location ready for every first one. He does not arrange you into poses. He waits. On the day he is the person you forget is there.

Cristiana Romano

Celebrant and legal translator

Cristiana writes your ceremony and leads it. In English, drawn from what the two of you told her, not a template with your names dropped into the gaps. She is also a legal translator, which is the part couples underestimate: certificates, sworn translations, the appointment at the comune. You get the list in English, in writing, weeks ahead, and then you stop thinking about it.

Send the dates. We will tell you what the light is doing.

About ten minutes, a few questions, no payment and no call to book first. Tell us when you are in Sicily, roughly who the two of you are, and what you want to remember. Salvo or Cristiana answers personally, with real availability, the locations that suit your week, and a figure in writing. Packages start at 890 euro and include the ceremony, an English-speaking celebrant and a public location.

There is an open group where couples planning a Sicilian wedding ask each other questions, and where suppliers across the island post their own work. It is a public room rather than our portfolio. If you want to listen in while you decide, you are welcome.
